Feasibility Study Projects

 

Selofara Gold Project – Mali, West Africa

Larpro has been awarded a contract to undertake geological sampling, resource definition and feasibility study activities for the development of the Selofara Gold Project located 100km southwest of Bamako in Mali, Western Africa.

Selofara is an alluvial gold deposit and will incorporate small scale mining operations, a gold concentrator plant and support infrastructure. It is expected that the project will begin as a small scale operation with profits funding further expansions.

Broughton Feasibility Study

Larpro was engaged by U&D Mining to undertake feasibility study works associated with the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP), on site and off site infrastructure, and transport and logistics elements of the Broughton Coal Mine Project. Larpro also provided project management support and study compilation services for U&D throughout the study.

Larpro continues to work with U&D Mining to develop the Broughton Project.

Angolan Gold Mine Feasibility Study

Larpro has been engaged to undertake feasibility study services for the infrastructure elements of a potential new gold project in Angola.

Nyngan Scandium Project

Larpro was engaged by EMC Metals Limited to assist in the preparation of an NI 43-101 Preliminary Economic Assessment report for the Nyngan Scandium Project in central New South Wales. Larpro partnered with Altrius Engineering Services to deliver the PEA.

Bandanna Energy Limited (BEL) Feasibility Studies

Bandanna Energy Limited engaged Larpro to coordinate the preparation of Feasibility Studies for the development of three coal mines in Central Queensland – Dingo West, Springsure Creek and Arcturus. These mines vary in output from 1mtpa to 11mtpa and include open cut and underground operations.

Bandanna Energy subsequently engaged Larpro undertake infrastructure designs and compile report documentation for the Springsure Creek Coal Mine.

Cockatoo Coal – Pre-Feasibility Studies Surat Basin

Larpro coordinated and compiled two Pre-Feasibility Studies for Cockatoo Coal for the Taroom and Collingwood sites in the Surat Basin, Queensland, incorporating mining studies performed by others. Larpro also managed various sub consultants for geotechnical studies, hydrological studies and CHPP design.

Integrated Isaac Plains Project

Larpro was appointed the Project Manager for the Integrated Isaac Plains Project in Queensland, Australia. Up until the project’s suspension in 2010, Larpro managed the options study, costing and preliminary design works involving haul roads, dams and diversions, mine infrastructure and the acquisition of a Bucyrus-Erie 1370W dragline.

Ma’aden Alumina Refinery – Saudi Arabia

Larpro was engaged to provide construction planning and cost planning assistance during the FEL2 study of the Ma’aden Alumina Refinery.

QCoal – Drake

Larpro was engaged by QCoal to undertake Owner’s Representative activities on the FEED study for the Drake Project’s Coal Preparation Plant.

Eagle Downs Mine

Larpro prepared a FEL 1 study for the proposed Eagle Downs Mine for Bowen Central Coal (Vale / Aquila Resources JV in the early phases of project consideration.

Austcane

Larpro was engaged by Austcane to assist in project feasibility functions related to the proposed Burdekin Ethanol Refinery.
