Bandanna Energy – Feasibility Studies

Bandanna Energy Limited – Feasibility Studies

Bandanna Energy Limited engaged Larpro to coordinate the preparation of Feasibility Studies for the proposed development of three coal mines in Central Queensland – Dingo West, Springsure Creek and Arcturus. These mines vary in output from 1Mtpa to 11Mtpa and include open cut and underground operations.

Dingo West

Dingo West is a 1-2Mtpa PCI coal project located 45km east of Blackwater in the Bowen Basin. The mine will operate as an open cut operation.

Springsure Creek

Springsure Creek is an underground thermal coal project located 45km southeast of Emerald in the Bowen Basin. The project will utilise longwall mining techniques to achieve a 5.5Mtpa product initially, and increasing to a potential 11Mtpa with the addition of a second longwall.

Arcturus

Arcturus is a nominal 5Mtpa coal project located approximately 75km southeast of Emerald in the Bowen Basin. The project aims to develop both open cut and underground mining operations to produce a thermal coal product.

Springsure Creek Definitive Feasibility Study

Bandanna Energy engaged Larpro to undertake infrastructure designs and compile report documentation for the Springsure Creek Definitive Feasibility Study in Central Queensland.

Springsure Creek is an underground thermal coal project located 45km southeast of Emerald in the Bowen Basin. The project will utilise longwall mining techniques to achieve a 5.5Mtpa product initially, and increasing to a potential 11Mtpa with the addition of a second longwall. The project includes two longwall miners, coal handling facilities, a product coal haul road, a separate train loading facility and supporting surface infrastructure.

The Springsure Creek DFS was completed in the fourth quarter of 2012.
